During the past few weeks we have seen protests occurring throughout the country to reject injustices that so often affect black and brown people. Cities across the country have held marches, including Jersey City.

We would like to offer a few resources for adults and children to help navigate the topics of racism, to stay informed and to become involved.

For Adults:
NYT: People are marching against racism. They are also reading about it. (Book List)
NYT: How to be an antiracist

Showing Up for Racial Justice
Jersey City Anti-Violence Coalition
Campaign Zero
Color Of Change

For Parents/Children:
USA Today: George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor. What do we tell our children?
WBUR: How to talk to your kids about Race, Racism and Police Violence? 5 Resources for Talking to Kids about Race How to talk to children about difficult news?

These are hard topics to have, yet they are necessary to have.
In the words of Dr. King, “Whatever affects one directly affects us all indirectly.”

Remember, we are all in this together.
